this cat down. we're going to find a drm to help him out. they did. dr. dan. he performed the surgery on him. he couldn't save both of corky's hind legs but were able to save one, and this is quirky today. you can see, healthy, happy, hopping around on three legs. to tell us how corky is doing -- a year ago did you think that corky would be doing this well as he appears to be doing in the video? >> i did. i had faith in him. he had a lot of spirit. he still does. >> who's he with me? >> he's with me. i've adopted him. i actually have two three-legged cats now. tripod is another one that we took in that needed an amputation from a gofer trap, and i have him also, and the only reason i kept him is because corky was so attached to him and really helped him through his recovery. >> now that corky has himself fixed up what are things he can do now he couldn't do before? >> much better going to the bathroom. he can walk. he can run. he can play. very much like a normal cat. >> these videos have gone viral and gotten a lot of attention. how does that make you feel to be able to rescue him an
. but she never showed up. kron- 4's dan kerman is live in hayward tonight. that's where moreno's family and friends are doing what they can. to help bring her home safely. dan? >> reporter: she remains missing. they have been passing out in these flyers hoping that somebody will recognize her and somebody will know where she is. family and friends spent friday night passing out fliers as they continue the search for the 13 year-old girl. >> i want her to come home. she was last seen thursday morning after dropping her younger school off at an elementary school and he word. sheriff's officials say that she could have voluntarily ran off with her 22 year-old boyfriend. they live in the single apartment building but the mother police the something more sinister has happened. >> it is not a boyfriend. not to a 13 year-old he is a predator. he is rain on my daughter. >> reporter: she said that she was given no indication before she left for school. there was no indication she did not take any extra clothes. she made brownies the night before. there is no indication that she ran away. >> repo
and ceo of cheg, dan rosenweig is here. >> we've got breaking news from the federal government. senior economics reporter steve liesman has the story. >> the fed is supposed to release this morning the transcript from 2007. those are the ones where they tell you who said what during meetings. an unusual amount of attention to these, because this is the first response of the federal reserve to the crisis which you remember began in the summer of 2007. what are we going to be looking for? what folks were saying in three emergency meetings. three rate cuts totaling 1%. and of course, there was a big debate, inflation versus response to the financial crisis on august #th. putting out a statement saying the main concern was inflation, three days later the federal reserve said it would provide reserves as necessary to combat the financial crisis. here's why this is going to be historically important. the first declines there in 2007, then what we'll do is overlay inflation on this. you can see what the fed was dealing with at the time. you had rising inflation at the time. at the same time y

. good evening. i'm dan ashley. this is obviously a big blow to boeing. the f.a.a. says united cannot fly the planes effective immediately. the latest scare after a flight from western japan to tokyo was forced to make an emergency landing when someone smelled smoke in the cockpit in the cab bin. the emergency landing convinced two japanese airlines to ground all of their boeing 787s and because of that some bay area travelers faced confusion today trying to fly to asia. amy holyfield has more from san jose international. >> passengers hoping to climb aboard the new dreamliner in san jose instead were told the flights have been grounded. the ana airlines spent time with each traveler getting them booked on other flights out of other airports including sfo. they also provided shuttles to the new flights and hotel rooms if it necessary. >> actually we don't know what happened but as long as the problem is solved it is fine. >> japan airlines and ana decided to ground the new 787s known as the dreamliner hes after the emergency landing in western japan because of battery problems. this is on

weapons ban through. >> let's head to washington and the white house. dan lothian is there, so dan, is the nra right? >> well, you know, i'm not going to make any predictions about what congress may or may not do. as we have learned over the last few years, what i can say is that assault weapons ban does appear to be facing an uphill effort up on capitol hill and i think what's interesting is that the president, right after the mass shooting in connecticut came out and talked about, you know, putting his support behind efforts to reinstate the assault weapons ban and this had been the position of the white house since then but what was interesting last week when the vice president was rolling out what he said what are the top tier recommendations that he had been getting of meeting with several groups he did not mention that at all so there were questions about whether the white house itself may have felt that it was losing steam and there was not support for this on capitol hill. but shortly thereafter, a spokesman for the white house saying the president and the vice president ar
